Admiral Hotel
Maritime theme. Modern design.
Copenhagen Admiral Hotel has the perfect blend of historical charm and modern appeal with a unique ambience that is noticeable from the moment you walk in. in 2002, famed British hotel designers Conran & Partners were given the task of reinventing the entire ground floor, while staying true to the hotel’s maritime origin.
The results speak for themselves. Today, the hotel’s furniture and light fittings feature classic, sophisticated design. In the lobby and on the various floors, items from the Royal Danish Naval Museum and model ships are displayed. The general colour scheme incorporates nautical hues, such as deep blue, light blue and grey, while occasional inclusions of plum and orange add contrast and contemporary appeal to the décor.
See the light
As for the 366 guest rooms, no two are alike – each has been individually developed by a group of Denmark’s best interior designers to reflect its own unique ambience, including custom designed furniture by Trip Trap. That said, although each room is unique, all capture the feeling of the building’s history through their characteristic beams, the aura of the city lights and the ever-changing light reflected from the water.
